This big and bold wine takes inspirations from the Cotes-du-Rhone region of France, but gives it a quintessential Washington flare. It’s like grunge music from the ‘90s to rock. It’s a bit young, but it’s bold and hits in all the right areas. It’s great now but it’ll get better with time, so don’t be afraid to stick it somewhere cool and dry and check it out in a couple years. Deep ruby in color, it smells a bit like black cherries and raspberries, has great tang, and a nice dry finish. This one is great with a nice juicy beef dish or all by itself.
