Let’s start with the obvious. Any wine named “Locos Por El Vino” is already off to a good start. If you’re going to call your wine “Crazy for Wine,” you’d better show up with something worth drinking. Fortunately, this one understood the assignment.
This Grenache and Tempranillo blend delivers plenty of dark fruit, a little spice, and a smooth feel that makes it easy to keep going back for “just one more sip.” There is a touch of vanilla floating around in the background that rounds everything out nicely without stealing the show. Nothing feels forced. Nothing feels overdone.
This was one of those wines that earned a simple note in the tasting book:
“Very good. Good pick.”
Honestly, sometimes that’s the highest compliment a wine can get.
