Altocedro Ano Certo Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Argentina is a region of South America that is famous for altitude, tango, and Eva Peron… maybe not the Madonna version, but I digress. This cabernet is a big representation of all these attributes; it showcases the altitude and dry climate of La Consulta where it is grown. Like tango, this wine begs for a partner. It’s a perfect pair with beef or lamb and works as a beautiful partner enhancing both the wine and food. It is the quintessential Argentinian red wine: bold, creamy, spicy with great herbal notes and a big dry finish. Like Mrs. Peron, this wine is very esteemed by its peers, even the crabby Robert Parker scored it high and gave it 90 points.
